Neil Alan Boyington, Jr., age 66, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 29, 2011 in Sarasota , FL. Neil was a resident of Arcadia , FL for the past two winters, coming here from Milford , Maine. He was born August 15, 1944, in Prentiss, son of Neil and Angie (Jipson) Boyington. He retired from Georgia Pacific as a Purchasing Agent after thirty five years of service. Neil was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, and golfing. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Old Town and the Peace River Wood Carvers Club in Arcadia, FL. He greatly enjoyed playing cards, regularly playing for years with old friends in Old Town and new friends in Arcadia. Neil is survived by his beloved wife of forty-one years, Saranne (White) Boyington; a son, Lance Boyington of Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Brandy and Scott Tagliareni of Verona, New Jersey; three sisters, Barbara Neice, Suzanne and Douglas Worster, both of Arcadia, FL; Brenda and Herbert Dickey, and a brother, Robert & Carolyn Boyington, both of Hermon. He had four very special grandchildren; Jacob and Annelise Boyington, and Phoebe and Reese Tagliareni. Neil also leaves a sister-in-law; Susanne Costigan of Bangor; In addition, he is survived by four aunts, one uncle, many cousins, eight nieces and nephews, fifteen great nieces and nephews and special friends too numerous to mention. He will also be lovingly remembered by his best friends of 41 years, Charles and Ida Jenkins, of Old Town. A visitation will be held from 3:00PM until 4:00PM Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 No. Hillsborough Avenue , Arcadia , FL, with a gathering to follow at the Siesta Clubhouse in Acadia Village. For friends in Maine a celebration of Neil s life will be held at a later date in Maine.
