Naka Utman, age 96, passed away peacefully in Arcadia, Florida on October 10, 2025. Naka was born March 10, 1929 in Gunma Ken, Japan. She met her late husband, George while he was serving in the US Army. They married in Japan in March 1956 and had three children moving to Arcadia in 1974.

She was a wonderful wife and mother and even better grandma.  After raising her children she went to work at a day care center and became grandma to many children in Arcadia.  She loved going to work and taking care of kids. Her other love was growing plants and vegetables, Most days you would find her weeding in her flower beds or rooting plants to give away to family and friends.

Naka is survived by her daughter, Joan and son-in-law, Robin. She was grandma to 4 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 5 great great grand kids.

Naka is preceded in death by her husband, George, and two sons, Roger and Eugene Utman and sister Renko White.
