Mildred C. Meyers, ago 92, passed away Thursday November 11, 2010 in Arcadia. She was born July 8, 1918 in Tranquility, NJ and moved to Florida in 1956 from Dover, N.J. Mildred was a very loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by her family very much. She loved all animals, and was kind to everyone. She enjoyed traveling with her family. Mildred was of the Methodist faith and a member of Pine Level United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter Sandra L. Claman(Cecil Booher) of Port Charlotte, FL; three grandsons; Jeffrey A. (Cynthia) Carlson of Lakeland, FL., Gregg S. (Kari) Carlson of Winter Haven, FL. and John Jodi H. Carlson of Arcadia, FL.; six great grandchildren Amanda, Courtney, Lexi, Cory, McKenna and Cassidy; five stepchildren; John, Ken, Judy, Greg and Holly. She was preceded in death by three husbands; Fred Stark,Jr., Joseph Longenecker and Maj. William F. Meyers and her parents Ernest and Maybelle Sampson Runion. A visitation will be held Sunday, November 14, 2010 from 4:00PM until 6:00PM at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia. Funeral Services will be Monday, November 15, 2010 at 11:00AM at Pine Level United Methodist Church with Rev. Dennis West officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Arcadia.
