Merle Lee Redding, age 60 passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022, in Sebring, Florida. He was born in Wauchula, Florida on July 22, 1961, to the late William E. & Annie L. Redding.

Merle was a lifetime resident of Wauchula. He graduated from Hardee High School in 1979. After his service in the U S Army. He worked his entire life in the agriculture field and was employed with Henderson Farms. His greatest accomplishment was his two children. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Merle loved farming and fixing things on the ranch.

His family will remember him as a knowledgeable farmer, hard worker, jokester, flirt, giver, and a man devoted to his loving family.

He is Survived by his Spouse Susan Redding, two children Michele (Travis) Dick of Wauchula, FL., Sandee (Kyle) Braxton of Bowling Green, FL., one brother Timmy (Marsha) Redding, two sisters Tammy Spain, Lara (Mark) Bostick; four grandchildren Ransom, Rocco, Tristan and Rory; numerous nieces and nephews.

Merle is preceded in death by his father-in law, Carl Joseph Stockenberg, his father, William Elmo Redding and Brother-in-law, Donald Hudson Spain.

A visitation of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 205 N. 9 ^th Ave., Wauchula, FL. 33873.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 11:00 am at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home in Wauchula. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery, Zolfo springs, FL. with military honors given by American Legion Post #2.
