Melvin Carl Christianson age 74, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023, in Bradenton, Florida. He was born on November 23, 1948, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Troy Clay Christianson and Mary Ellen Albritton Sulfridge.

Melvin enjoyed horseback riding, classic car events and frequenting his favorite local food establishments. He was a member of the Cowboy Church. He served on the board of the Florida Cracker Trail Association for two years and was a member of the Florida Arcadia Saddle Club for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents Troy Clay Christianson and Mary Ellen Albritton Sulfridge.

He is survived by his sons, Joshua Paul Christianson of Bradenton, Florida, Benjamin John Christianson of Pensacola, Florida, his daughter Sharon Marie Chewning of Bradenton, Florida and his sister Audrey Fay White of Arcadia, Florida.  There are also three grandchildren.

There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 1:00PM in the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Homes. Pastor Ellis Cross will be officiating.
