Mary Pearl Weed, age 74, of Arcadia, Fl. passed away November 24, 2009 in Punta Gorda, Fl. Mary was born in Limestone, Fl. August 3, 1935 to Thomas D. and Minnie Boyette. She retired as a supervisor in the psychiatric ward at the G. Pearce Memorial Hospital. Mary was a graduate of DeSoto High School, class of 1953. She enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, raising a garden, growing flowers, and going shopping. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors are a son; Rodney Dewayne (Sally Jo.) Brown, LaBelle, Fl. and daughter Betty Lynn Suggs, Nocatee, Fl. She also leaves three sisters; Annie Wynn, Arcadia, Fl., Judy Alcorn, Charleston, SC., and Sally Cloninger, Nocatee, Fl. She leaves four grandchildren; Ronald Samuel Suggs, Joshua Lee Suggs, and Samantha Lynn Suggs, all of Arcadia, Fl. and David Brown, LaBelle, Fl. and four great grandchildren. Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband Delbert Weed in 1984 and two brothers Elton and J. C. Boyette. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until 12:00 Noon at the Nocatee Baptist Church. Funeral service3s will be at 12:00Noon Saturday, November 28, 2009 from Nocatee Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Romick officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Arcadia, Fl.
