Mary Groves Weaver age 81 of Sebring passed away November 27, 2011 at Hardee Manor in Wauchula. She was born December 20, 1929 in Warne NC and has been a resident of Sebring for 27 years moving there from Fort Meade. She was an artist and enjoyed drawing outdoor scenery and caricatures. Mary is survived by four daughters Nanci (J.R.) Wimpey of Jonesboro, GA, Sharon Twiggy Weaver of Wauchula, Dianne (Jerry) Welch of Wauchula, Lisa Weaver of Ft. Meade; two sons Keith (Cheryl) Weaver of Blairsville, GA, Robin Weaver of Ft. Meade; three brothers Bill Groves of Ramona, CA, Jay Groves of Social Circle, GA, Jack Groves of Monroe, GA; one sister Lorene Bryant of Blairsville, GA; nineteen grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by one son Mack Weaver and her parents Verlin and Jessie Sampson Groves. Her memorial service will be held at 6:30pm Thursday, December 01, 2011 in the Chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home 404 W Palmetto St in Wauchula.
