Mary M. Roman

Mary M. Roman was born on March 26, 1938, in Clyo, Georgia, and peacefully passed away on May 26, 2026, at her residence in Arcadia, Florida. Mary lived a life, full of love and dedication, especially to her family, which was everything to her.

She was known for her long career at Publix, where she worked faithfully for 28 years. Beyond her work, Mary found much joy in gardening and had a special talent for crafting. If something could be made with her hands, Mary would have done it (and she did). Her creativity and love for crafting were a hallmark of her life.

Mary’s pride and joy and the breath she breathed were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them and proudly watched them grow. Alongside her human family, she had a beloved cat, Maggie Mae, who was extraordinary in her own way and dearly loved by Mary.

She is survived by her daughter, Mitzi Carroll (Bobby) her son, Tod Roman and her brother, Tony Morgan (Pat). Mary’s grandchildren, Heather Day (Chris), Brandi Bonville (Bradley), and Amy Pearson, remember her with love and fondess, as do her great-grandchildren: Kinsleigh, Nevaeh, Haiden, Rylan, and Olivia.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Flemming Morgan; her father, Doc Morgan; her sister, Colleen Scarbrough; and her brother, James Morgan.

Mary’s life was marked by love, creativity, and mostly family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and remembered for the warmth, love and dedication she gave to those she loved most.
