Mary L.
Redding
May 1, 1950 – April 23, 2022
Mary L. Redding, age 71 went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 23, 2022 in Largo, FL. She was born on May 1, 1950 in Ellenton, GA to the late Mercey Douglas Coasey and Beatrice Humphrey Coasey. Mary moved to DeSoto County 54 years ago and remained an active resident of our community. She was of the protestant faith and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Arcadia.
Mary worked hard and completed her education in February of 2000. She became certified as a CNA, working at G. Pierce Woods. She finished her working career as a school bus driver, retiring from DeSoto County. Mary enjoyed attending church, sewing making many things for family and friends. She also liked eating out, trying different restaurants and shopping with her sisters. She was described as a cheeky, mischievous person, sometimes stubborn, often funny, and occasionally ordinary. Mary only had one fear, and that was of frogs!
She is survived by her six children, Darrell Coasey of Stone Mountain, GA, Sandy Redden of New York, Earnest Troupe, Jr. of Idaho, Desmond Ford of Sun City, FL, Terrence Ford of Tampa, FL and Shakira Redding of Arcadia; her mother Beatrice H.
