Mary Ann Dees 70, of Arcadia passed away Thursday, April 24, 2008 in Port Charlotte, FL. She was born October 09, 1937 in Cincinnati, OH and moved to Arcadia in 1952 from Sarasota, FL. She worked for 35 years a McBee Harvesting and was of the Presbyterian faith. Mary Ann enjoyed going to the lake, dinner theater, shopping, and spending time in the mountains. She was preceded in death by her parents James & Helen Wilson. Mary Ann is survived by her beloved husband Denzel Ray Dees of Arcadia; one son Craig (Linda) Dees of Arcadia; one daughter Barbara Bergens of Arcadia; one sister Marcia Brown of Arcadia; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Services will be 2pm Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home 50 N Hillsborough Ave with Dr. Ted Land, First Presbyterian Church, Arcadia officiating. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donation be made to Tidewell Hospice at Tidewell.org or to the Senior Friendship Center of DeSoto County at 863-494-4965.
