Obituary

Mary Nell Brown (Moore) 78, passed away, Tuesday, September 20, 2022, in Okeechobee, Florida after losing a long battle with Myasthenia Gravis. Mary was born in Arcadia, Florida to Arthur Moore and Missouri Bates Moore, on May 13, 1944.

She was married to James Brown, Sr. and gave birth to three beautiful children; John Glenn Brown, Stella Liola Brown and James Brown, Jr.

Most of Mary's life she worked for Circle K as a manager in Arcadia and then traveled throughout the country to many different areas. She was very proud of her work ethics and tenure at Circle K.

She also greatly enjoyed the outdoors, but most of all gardening. She could tell you about all the flowers and plants and how to take care of them. She loved traveling but most of all Mary loved God! She enjoyed attending church, and reading the scriptures daily, she was a "Godly" woman.

After Mary's divorce for James she met "the Love of her Life", Arty Johnson. They spent the next thirty years together. Arty and Mary enjoyed many things together; travel, family, outdoor activities, flowers, plants and each other.

Mary lost "the Love of her Life" in 2014 and resided in Ocala until 2018 when she decided to reside in Okeechobee, Florida with her great niece Kelly Cato and with the assistance of her niece Kathryn Golden until she went home to her final resting place.

Mary is survived by her daughter Stella Liola Brown and a son James E. (Jimmy) Brown and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved more than ever!

Mary is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Missouri Bates Moore, brothers Herbert Moore, Gerald Moore, Arthur F. Moore, and Royce Moore. She had one sister also deceased, Juanita Moore Golden and one son Johnny Brown.
