Martha Kersey Larson lifetime resident of DeSoto County passed away on February 12, 2023. Martha was born on January 29, 1949, to Jesse and Florence Summeralls Kersey. She graduated from DeSoto County High School in 1967.

She was retired but had been employed by the DeSoto County School System for 16 years and was a long time DeSoto County Lifetime Fair Director. She served in that position for over forty years. She was also a member of the North Hillsborough Baptist Church of Arcadia.

She loved spending time with her family members doing anything and spending time with her granddaughter Lucie.

She will be remembered by her family as a strong, loving wife, mother and grandmother. Martha had a huge heart and she loved her family and friends, but, she loved her son and granddaughter more than anything in the world. She loved working with the children as a teacher's aide at Memorial Elementary and serving with the Fair Association in many roles throughout the years. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Florence Kersey, her husband George Larson and her brother Wesley Kersey.

She is survived by her son John and Heather Larson of Apopka, Florida and granddaughter Lucie. Also, her sister Ruth Jones and brothers Richard, Johnny, and Arthur Kersey along with many wonderful nieces and nephews.

There will be a service on March 5 ^th , 2023 at 2:00pm at Horse Creek Camp located at 8491 State Road 64W, Ona, Florida 33865.
