Obituary

Marilyn Sue (Cobb) Agnew, passed away and taken to Heaven by God and our Lord Jesus Christ, on September 30, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  Marilyn will be sorely missed by all her family and friends.

Marilyn lived in the Palm Beach Gardens, Florida area for approximately 40 years with her devoted and loving husband, George, and true soulmate of 39 years.  George and Marilyn were married in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 2, 1983.

Marilyn was born in Gastonia, North Carolina on December 4, 1952. She moved to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida approximately 40 years ago where she met her husband George, the true love of her life. Marilyn graduated from Hunter Huss High School in Gastonia in 1971. She earned her Cosmetology degree from Roffler Hair Design College, West Palm Beach, Florida in 1984. Marilyn was also an accomplished cook and very efficient homemaker, which made her loving husband George very content, spoiled, well fed and happy.  She was a member of the Unity Baptist Church, in Gastonia, NC.

Marilyn's hobbies and interests included, The Florida Lottery, attending garage sales, holding garage sales, cooking, decorating, The Bold and Beautiful, The Young and Restless Soaps, Beach music, and shopping.

Marilyn's friends and family will remember her as a beautiful soul who was kind, empathetic, friendly, energetic, and feisty, who never met a stranger and who was quick to make friends from all walks of life. She also was so grateful to have a husband, George, who worshipped and adored her. George is going to really miss Marilyn, his true soulmate.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, George, Peggy Cobb (Bobby) Prevatte her sister, David Cobb, her brother, also her nieces Laura Nicole Infinger, Emily Arbogast, Michelle Young, Bobbie Jean Massey and her Grand Niece, Taylor Lohman. Also, her Stepdaughter Trina A. (Charles) Bratten, Stepson, Ryan Agnew, and nephew Jessie Cobb. All of your friends and family are truly grateful to have known and loved you and are at peace with your passing with the knowledge that you are where you deserve to be, in heaven. Rest in Eternal Peace Marilyn. We all love you!

There will be a graveside service at 11:00am at the Joshua Creek Cemetery.
