Marie Powell Patterson was born on November 10, 1926, in Cateechee, South Carolina, to Lemuel F. and Annie Wilson Powell. She went home to be with our Lord and her family on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at South Port Square in Port Charlotte, Florida at the age of 96.

Marie married Russell W. Patterson in 1946. They reached their 70 ^th Anniversary before his death on June 30, 2017. They had one son, Joseph William Patterson who preceded them in death.

Marie with husband Russell and son Joe moved to Florida in 1965 and have made Ft. Ogden their home ever since.

Marie was a compassionate and loving wife, mother and friend to everyone who knew her.

Marie said weeks before her death, "So many of my family and friends have already gone to Heaven, they probably think I didn't make it!" They are all rejoicing now with Jesus!

There will be a graveside service for Marie on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 10:00AM at the Fr. Ogden Cemetery. Pastor Ellis Cross will be officiating. All of the family's friends are invited to attend.
