Maria Torres De Luna of Arcadia, Florida passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023, she had lived in the area for 32 years.  Maria was born on September 22, 1953, in Michoacan, Mexico to Bulmaro Torres and Maria De Jesus Cortez.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking for her family which brought her great joy.  She will be remembered as a noble woman who was caring and joyful with a bright personality who never met a stranger. What filled her cup with love and joy most was pleasing her children and grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Her life was fulfilled, and she contributed greatly in this world by her loving and giving soul. She was a great daughter, grandmother, sister, wife, mother and friend. Her hugs were warm and her smile full of life and she completed her mission with great loving cheerfulness and joy.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Bulmaro Torres and Maria DeJesus and a brother Miguel Torres.

She is survived by her husband Francisco Javier Luna and her children; Alejandro and Bibiana of Sarasota, Florida also a son Javier of Sarasota, Florida. Andres and Julia, Ellenton, Florida, Victor and Cindy of North Port and Gabriel and Alejandra of North Port, Florida. Also, Adrian and Marixa of Arcadia, Florida and Julieta and Pete of Arcadia, Erika and Eduardo of Lehigh Acres, Florida and Angelica and Alvaro of Hanford, California.

She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Lupe Torres, Teresa Torres, Martha Torres, Domingo Torres, Herman Torres, Bulmaro Torres, and Jose Luis Torres.

She also has eleven Grandchildren who are; Jesus Gamez, Brianna Gamez, Zosia Luna, Romeo Luna, Zoila Cruz, Leonardo Luna, Yaretzi Luna, Zavian Cruz, Adan Luna, Valentina Luna, and Maximilliano Luna.

There will be a Visitation on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 9:00AM – 10:30AM in the Chapel at Ponger-Kays-Grady Arcadia, 50 N. Hillsborough Avenue, 34266.

The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00AM at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Remy officiating. Burial will follow the service at Joshua Creek Cemetery.
