Margaret Peggy
Teuton
April 6, 1938 – January 3, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Nannie, Margaret Peggy Teuton, age 86, who left us peacefully on January 3rd, surrounded by her family.
Born on April 6th, 1938, in Niagara Falls, New York, to Clarence and Myrtle McClelland, Peggy lived a life that was full of love, kindness, and generosity.
She leaves behind her a legacy of warmth and compassion that will forever echo in the hearts of all who knew her.
She met and married the love of her life Isbon on January 18th, 1958 and together they raised three children, David, Patricia and Mary. She was a devoted mother and wife, always putting her family first, making them feel safe, cherished and deeply loved. She worked as a teacher's aide at Myakka City School and impacted the lives of so many.
Peggy had a beautiful voice and sang in the choir. She was a member of both the Myakka Methodist and Pine Level Methodist Church but loved to attend Sandy Baptist Church or online services when she was not able to go in person. She enjoyed reading and collecting salt and pepper shakers, but her biggest joy in life was found in family gatherings and holidays. She spent many days surrounded by her grandkids and loved attending as many school and sporting events as she could.
She is survived by one sister Loretta Aro of Kelseyville, California; children, David (Rhonda) Teuton of Punta Gorda, Florida, Patricia (James) Arneman of Ocala , Florida, Mary (George) Moeller of Arcadia, Florida, and Tammy Teuton of Mulberry Florida; 16 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was met in heaven by her husband Isbon Julius Teuton, three great grandchildren, Alexis, Chance and Jesse Jr., 13 siblings, and numerous family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on January 11th, 2025 at 11am at Myakka City Methodist Church.
