Margaret Deen Lambert 92, of Zolfo Springs went home to be with her Savior on March 11, 2024.

She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Margaret married the love of her life Ronald on March 30, 1950, and they were blessed with 67 happy years. Together they raised five children Ron, Lynette, Marsha, Harold and Brian.

Margaret was a homemaker and worked along side Ronald where they founded Buckhorn Nursery in 1959, a four generation Lambert family legacy. Margaret had a love for gardening and it's something she was exceptional at. She would keep enough for her family and feed the masses with the rest. When she couldn't be found in the garden, she was sure to be found in the kitchen. Cooking was her passion. She lived to feed her family and anyone else that may show up at or around dinner time. Her table was often surrounded by a crowd and filled with love, laughter and some type of dessert.

Margaret was preceded in death by her daughter Marsha Sager, husband Ronald, sisters Cleo Magee and Jeannette Cowart, brothers Richard and George Deen, and Winston Marsh, Grandson Jay Lambert and Great Grandsons Landon and Dylan Lambert.

She is survived by sons Ron, Harold(Betty) and Brian(April.) Daughter Lynette. Sisters Ruth Morton and Juanita Herd. Grandchildren Seth(Kim), Corey(Veronica), Levi(Debbie) Josh, Sierra(Jared), Kaley(Marco),James, Seena,(Eric) Brandon (Susie) Taylor(Elizabeth) and Shelby(Tyler.) 20 Great Grandchildren, her best friend Pauline Hendrickson and each employee of Buckhorn Nursery.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 5:00-7:00P.M. at Ponger Kays Grady Funeral home followed by a graveside service Thursday, March 14, 2024, 11:00 A.M. at New Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to New Hope Baptist Church Perpetual Fund or Vitas Healthcare.
