Louis A. Simcic, age 84, passed away April 14, 2010 in Port Charlotte, Fl. Louis was born November 17, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio. He moved to Arcadia in 1977 from Cleveland. Louis was a self employed carpenter working in the home construction industry. He was a veteran of World War II, serving faithfully with the U. S. Army. Louis was an avid fisherman. He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Brownville Baptist Church, Cubitis Community, Arcadia, Fl. Louis is survived by his beloved wife; Marlene, Arcadia, two sons, Kirk (Virginia) Simcic, Arcadia and Greg (Jackie) Simcic, Fort Myers, Fl., two daughters; Denise (Henry) Boyette, arcadia and Debra (Michael) Long, Cleveland, OH. He also leaves nine grand children; Lisa, Missy, Kristy, Elizabeth, Erin, Jordan, Brittany, Brianna, and Justin, and three great grandchildren; Alyssa, Kyle, and Christian. Louis was preceded in death by his parents; Frank and Giselle Simcic. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 19, 2010 at Brownville Baptist Church, Arcadia, FL., with Reverend Matt Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, FL. The Veterans Honor Guard will render military honors at the cemetery.
