Louis Q. Roberson Sr., age 79, passed away Sunday , January 11, 2009 in Arcadia, FL. He was born August 12, 1929 in Nocatee, Fl and lived most of his life as a resident of DeSoto County. He was a real family man , his love for his wife Lois, children, grand children and great- grand children would be what he considered his great accomplishment. He was always involved with the grand children s activities what ever they may be. He enjoyed tinkering around his home and playing cards with family and friends. Louis spent forty-four years as a field foreman in the citrus and produce industry. He was an active member of the 1st Baptist Church of Arcadia. His survivors include his loving wife Becky (Lois) Roberson of Arcadia, Fl., three sons Louis Q. Roberson Jr., of Deerfield Beach, Fl., Dwan (Roxann) Watson of Ft. Drum, Fl. and David L. (Linda) Watson of Naples, FL., one daughter Susan Watson (Jeff) Tomlinson of Arcadia, Fl., eleven grand children and eleven great-grand children. Louis was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara Ann Roberson, a son William C. (Billy) Roberson, his parents Jack and Hannah Roberson, five brothers and four sisters. Visitation will be held from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia, Fl. Funeral Services will at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at the 1St Baptist Church of Arcadia, 1006 N Brevard Ave., Arcadia, Fl. with Rev. Richard Englert, Jr. officiating.
