Lottie A. Black, age 84, of Arcadia, Fl. passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2008 in Punta Gorda, Fl. She was born April 25, 1924 in Grahn, Kentucky and moved to Arcadia in 1980 from Mancelona, MI. Lottie loved her family very much and spending time with them, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Lottie was a talented seamstress and enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was also described as an excellent cook preparing many home cooked meals for everyone. She was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church of Arcadia, Fl. She is survived by three daughters Evelyn L.(Ken) Sleeper of Nocatee, Fl., Clarice E. Watkins of Arcadia, Fl. and Linda A. Griffin of Punta Gorda, Fl., one son John L. (Paulette) Reed of Arcadia, Fl., eleven grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren. Lottie was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Roseann Wilcox, five brothers Clarence Wilcox, James Wilcox, Earnest Wilcox, Roy Wilcox, and Earl Wilcox, three sisters Julia Patton, Goldie Wilcox and Mabel Smith. Visitation will be held from 6:00PM to 8:00PM today, Thursday November 6, 2008 at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia, Fl. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home in Arcadia, Fl.with Dr. Howell Upchurch officiating.
