Lonnie "Eddie" Herrin, Sr., age71 passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021 in Arcadia, FL. He was born on January 15, 1950 in Valdosta, GA to the late Aldean & Gladys Goodin Herrin. Eddie and his wife moved to Arcadia seven months ago from Valdosta, GA.

Eddie graduated from Lowndes High School, Class of 1968. After a long and fulfilling career, he retired from the Valdosta Fire Department as their maintenance supervisor. Upon moving to Florida, Eddie obtained his Florida Real Estate License and also worked for Ace Hardware in Arcadia. He enjoyed working with his hands creating objects from wood, fishing and camping with his family or traveling to the mountains. Eddie was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Linda Herrin of Arcadia, two sons Lon (Misti) Herrin and Jeff (Liz) Herrin, siblings James (Carolyn) Minton, Lucille Menear, Alton Minton, Robert Minton and Betty Herrin, four grandchildren Heather (Sam) Motos, Justin Wyke, Kayla Buckholts and Susan Swann, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Teresa Herrin, siblings Robert Herrin, Frances "Peewee" Williams and Joyce Coody and brother-in-law's Jim Menear and Jimmy Coody.

Memorial Services will be announced at a later date.
