Obituary

Lois (Tweed) Stone, formerly of Randolph, Massachusetts passed away in Arcadia, Florida on September 15, 2022, after a brief illness.  She was the wife of the late Ralph L. Stone Jr. for 61 years prior to his death in 2015. She is the beloved mother of Nancy Bayer of Lexington, South Carolina, Robert Stone and his wife Maryellen of North Reading, Massachusetts, Brenda Mastandrea of Lake Worth, Florida and Pamela Whalen and her husband Matthew of Arcadia, Florida.  Mrs. Stone is also the cherished grandmother of eleven great grandchildren, great grandmother of seventeen, as well as great great grandmother to two great great grandchildren.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who remember her and the time they spent together dearly.  Mrs. Stone also leaves her beloved feline companion "Snowball."

Mrs. Stone was preceded in death by her parents, Revillo and Blanche Tweed of Randolph, Massachusetts, as well as her brother Winslow Tweed of Schnecksville, Pennsylvania and her sister Cynthia (Tweed) Anderson of North Port, Florida.

Mrs. Stone graduated in 1952 from Stetson High School in Randolph.  She spent her working career in the service industry starting with Fernandes supermarkets in the 60's, moving to Cirelli Foods after Fernandes closed and finally working at Publix supermarkets in Florida until 2019. She always enjoyed interacting with her customers.

When not working, she particularly enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the family cottage in West Wareham along the Sippican River where outings and family reunions were held.  She was particularly happy when planning gatherings with family and friends, always taking care of her guests before herself.  After meals, a cruise in the family boat to Buzzard's Bay was one of her favorite events.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Lois T. Stone to the Jimmy Fund Foundation.  There will be no visiting hours.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a burial service at Bourne National Cemetery in Bourne, Massachusetts on Monday, October 24, 2022 at 11:15AM.
