Lois E. Evans, age 89, passed away March 30, 2009 at Bryan County Heath and Rehabilitation Center, Ga. She was born August 10, 1919 to Margaret and Joe Evans in Fitzgerald, GA. She was a member of the Church of God of Arcadia, where she lived many years. She was a beacon of light to all she ever met with her act of kindness and thoughtfulness. She is survived by her sisters Mary Turner, (Linda) and Steve Johnson, (Carolyn) and Dwayne Dean, (Tricia) Childers ; brother Bill Evans; niece (Brenda) and Steve Bauck; Nephews (John) and June Evans, David Bauck; niece and longtime caregiver Tina Harmon and her husband Tony Harmon. Preceded in death by her sisters Helen and Rachel; brothers Edwin and Herbert Evans. Visitation will be held today, April 1, 2009 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel in Richmond Hill, Ga from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM with funeral services following at 11:00AM.
