Linville J. Welker, age 76, passed away May 6, 2010 in Pembroke Pines, FL. Linville was born in Huntington WV on November 12, 1933. He moved to Miramar, FL in 1963 from Huntington WV. Linville worked 33 years for Winn Dixie as a meat cutter. He was a veteran of the National Guard and of the Protestant faith. Linville would visit his family in Arcadia, going hunting and fishing in and around Arcadia and became fond of the area. He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He liked to bar-b-que. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, mowing the grass and walking through the woods. Linville is survived by his beloved wife; Carolyn Honaker Welker, of Miramar FL, one son Gary (Sharon) Welker, of Arcadia FL, a daughter Linda Morrow, of Pembroke Pines FL, and a daughter-in-law Debbie Welker, of Okeechobee FL. He also leaves two brothers; Kenneth (Anita) Welker and Ace (Lynnetta) Welker both of Lavalette WV, three sisters; Phyllis Harris of Michigan, Margaret Cremeans of WV, and Pam (Dean) Young of NC, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by son Greg Welker and a sister Patricia Welch. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 10, 2010 at Joshua Creek Cemetery with Reverend Jimmie Collins officiating.
