Linda A. Gavin, age 51, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2010 in Port Charlotte. She was born May 20, 1958 in Arcadia, FL and a lifetime resident. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of North Hillsborough Baptist Church, Arcadia. Linda was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and sister and will be missed by her family. Linda was a graduate of Desoto High School, Class of 1976. She also enjoyed reading and fishing with family and friends. She is survived by one son; Robert J. Osceola of Arcadia, FL; one daughter Kezia Jones of Arcadia, FL; parents Juril and Madelon Mansfield of Arcadia, FL.; one brother Buddy (Sandy) Mansfield of Arcadia, FL; five grandchildren; Levi, Leigha, Caleb, Michael and Zaida; one niece; five nephews; three great nieces and three great nephews. A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2010 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia, Funeral services will be Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 11:00AM at the chapel with Pastor Ellis Cross officiating. Interment will follow at Joshua Creek Cemetery.
