Lillian (Betty) Bordy, age 78, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 in Arcadia. She was born July 10, 1930 in Savannah, Ga., she moved to Fort Lauderdale, Fl. in 1938. There she attended Trinity Lutheran Primary school and graduated from Fort Lauderdale High School in 1949. Betty drove a Broward County school bus for 33 years. After retiring she moved to Lily, Fl. She was a member of Union Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Samuel Bordy. One daughter Denise (Larry) Wheeler of Lily, Fl. One son Samuel (Terri) Bordy of Fort Lauderdale, Fl. Three grandsons, Jonathan, David and Benjamin Bordy all of Fort Lauderdale, Fl. Two sisters Carolyn Lowe of Coconut Creek, Fl. and Valeria Huszty of Savannah, Ga. Several brother and sister in laws who loved her like a sister, and many loving nieces and nephews. Private services were held at Lily Cemetery.
