Obituary

Leon "Lee" O. Dean, 53, of Arcadia, Florida passed away October 18, 2021, at Manatee Memorial Hospital.  He was born September 17, 1968, in Macon, Georgia to Leon and Peggy Dean.

A proud twenty-year veteran and Chief in the United States Navy, Lee held a Master's Degree in Environmental Policy and Management with Honors.  Lee was a natural born teacher who loved the outdoors.  His favorite pastimes were riding motorcycle, scuba diving, and shooting sporting clays.  Being a Master Mason and a 32 nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, Lee was an active member and Senior Deacon of the Peace River Masonic Lodge.  Lee was also Vice President for People for Protecting Peace River.  Most of all, Lee was a proud and loving father, devoted and wonderful husband, and a man that will always be loved and missed.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Christie Dean of Arcadia, FL, his son, Joshua Dean of Westminister, CO, his daughter, Rio MacDonald (Dean) of Arcadia, FL, his parents Leon and Peggy Dean of Arcadia, FL, his sister Amy Dean of Bradenton, FL and by all his extended family and friends who love him.

Services will be at 11:00 am on November 5, 2021, at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens at 27200 Jones Loop Road in Punta Gorda, FL.
