Lemmurrel Joy Johnson, age 79, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010 in Punta Gorda, FL. She was born March 17, 1931 in Arcadia, FL. and a lifetime resident. She was of the Baptist faith. Lemmurrel was a very loving, caring mother, grandmother and aunt. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and working in the yard. She loved planting flowers and plants for all to see. She is survived by one son, James Aaron (Mary) Johnson of Arcadia, FL., four grandchildren; Mary Johnson, Jamie Johnson, James A. Johnson and John A. Johnson, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and one special great nephew that cared for her, Brian A. Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband J. A. Johnson, her parents Ebenezer and Eva A. Ecker Smith, a daughter Evaland Joy Johnson, one brother and two sisters. Funeral services will be graveside, Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 11:00AM at Joshua Creek Cemetery, Arcadia with Rev. Jerry Atkins officiating.
