Larry G. Sloan, age 80, went to be with the Lord on January 14, 2022, Lakeland, Florida. He was born July 28, 1941, to the late Leroy & Dianna Sloan in Arcadia, Florida. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Arcadia.

Larry was a lifetime resident of Arcadia, and attend DeSoto High School, home of the "Bull dogs". He worked at his family's store, Solans Corporate, Inc. He was an avid outdoors person and loved going fishing. Larry enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball and football games.

He will be remembered by his family as a man who put others before himself, compassionate, kind soul, funny and loving.

He is survived by one sister Peggy Abbott of Lakeland, FL., one nephew Donald Gerald Hay of Warrenton, VA., one niece Angela & Joie Brownlow and numerous cousins.

Larry is preceded in death by his parent Leroy & Dianna Sloan and one nephew Ronald M. Hay.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 10:00 am at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Arcadia, FL.
