Obituary

Keith "Poo" Roan of Arcadia, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, at the age of 77. He was preceded in death by his parents: Leslie "Buck" Roan and Ruth Browning Roan, his siblings: Leslie "Bootie" Roan, Barbara "Blue" Roan, William "Bobby" Roan, Dan Roan, Don Roan, Zoe Iris "Tootsie" Roan Sutton, Theodore "Ted" Roan and Kenny Roan.

He is survived by his son: Buck Roan of Arcadia, Florida, his daughter: Jamie Lundy of Georgia, grandson: Justin Roan, and sister: Patsy "Pat" Roan. He also leaves behind a special niece, Brenda "Candy" Roan (Sergio) Ramirez, who he lived with at times throughout his life and who lovingly cared for him in his final days. Additionally, he is survived by his best friend Bo Richardson, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who held him close.

Born and raised in Arcadia, Poo spent his entire life in the community he loved. A man of Chrisitan faith, he attended Desoto County High School and spent his early years working at the Arcadia Livestock Market and as a ranch hand, along with various roles in the agricultural industry. He also pursued a career as a truck driver and delighted in sharing stories of the many adventures he experienced on the road with his brother Bobby- including the unforgettable day on May 9, 1980, when they drove a semitruck over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge on the vary day it partially collapsed.

Poo was known for his quit wit, infectious laughter, and generosity toward anyone in need. He found joy ion collecting scrap metal and other treasures, and he approached life with playful spirit that brought smiles to those around him.

Keith "Poo" Roan's humor, stories, and shenanigans leave a lasting impression on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the community he called home.

A celebration of life will be held October 4, 2025, at 11:00am at North Hillsborough Baptist Church.
