Obituary

Judy Strang Welch passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 29, 2024, At the age of 82.

Born on January 18, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York , Judy was the daughter of the late Dorothy Beck Guella and the late Stanley Swinton and the stepdaughter of Ben Guella.

Judy is survived by her beloved children-Stacey Strang and son-in-law Hendrick, William Strang and daughter-in-law Denise, Charles Strang and daughter-in-law Carman, Chris Strang and partner Shelley. Grandchildren, Kyle Strang, David Strang, Shelby Strang, Ashley Strang, and Mitchell Strang, Wyatt Mata and great grandchildren, Atlas Strang, Era Strang, Kora Strang, Kinsley Strang, Bella Martinez, and Wyatt Mata, along with Sister Linda Guella Hargett, Niece Maele Hargett, and Great niece Ember Brazier.

Judy was proud to be a 40 year employee of the Northport Florida post office, and  she had been an avid reader, all her life until her eyes wouldn't let her.

Judy had a strong spirit and a gentle soul, which was quite evident through her life, focusing first and foremost on her passion and love for all animals, especially cats all kinds. For 50 years, she rescued an endless amount of abused, lost, dumped cats along with feeding outdoor ferals and raising her own cats. She's responsible for fixing a couple hundred cats and showered all with love and endless affection on them. If Judy could fix a problem a cat was having, she spared no expense, helping them to live happy and healthy lives. The animals benefited from her lifelong passion.

Judy lived in the point Pleasant area of New Jersey in her younger married years, then settled in Northport Florida for the rest of her life.

Judy had a quiet demeanor that touched the lives of many and will be missed by her family members, friends, and acquaintances alike.

May her life be a blessing to all who were lucky enough to have known her and may she fly high and continue on her journey.
