Joseph Martin Galicia, age 79 peacefully passed away on February 1, 2024, in Arcadia, Florida.  He was born May 17, 1944, a son to the late Joseph and Regina Galicia in Brooklyn, New York.

He was a Corporal in the Army and in the 509th Airborne in Germany. He was dedicated to many Veterans organizations. He loved to travel and do custom leather work.

He was preceded in death by his sister Patricia Galicia of Long Island, New York, stepsons Mark and Jesse Jordan and step granddaughter Samantha Corson of Andover, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife, Angeline O'Leary, brother Martin Galicia, Cousin Kathy Castrovinci Buckley, and his loving family from two previous marriages, his son Joseph R. Galicia, daughter Suzanne L. Price, stepdaughters Carla Longenecker, Michele Hartsfield, and Laura Jordan. Grandchildren Joseph Galicia, Jennifer O'Conner, and Christopher Galicia. Nephew Matthew Saur, Step grandchildren Joshua Jordan, Mark Jordan Jr., Curtis Jordan, Barbara Jones, Joseph Longenecker, Jeremy Longenecker, Amanda Longenecker, Alicia Tauche, Nicole Jordan, Adam Jordan, James Hartsfield, Amber Jordan, Jon Hartsfield, Alyssa Hartsfield, and Jordan Gorlock.  As well as 46 great grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren and 2 great great-great grandchildren.

Services will be February 23, 2024 at Sarasota National Cemetery at 9:30am.

Celebration of Life to follow at 11:30am at AM VETS Post 60 Hwy 17 South Arcadia, Florida.
