Johnnie Bell Johnson-Sherman-Age, 89 of Arcadia, FL passed away

surrounded by her loving family on January 7 ^th 2022 at the Palms of Punta Gorda in Punta Gorda, FL. Johnnie was born on April 26 ^th 1932 in Fort Green Springs, FL. She has been a resident of Arcadia since 1961 and worked as a nursing assistant at G. Pierce Wood Hospital. Johnnie was involved in a numerous veterans organizations and Auxiliaries. She enjoyed traveling, dancing and eating out but most of all loved spending time with her children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Francis E Sherman, five sons; Reuben (Eloise) Johnson, John H Johnson Jr, James Donald Johnson, Phillip Robin (Mary) Johnson, Elmer (Lucia) Johnson; two daughters; Marlene Williams and Tina(Vinny) Curzi she was a loving grandmother to 28 grandchildren and 89 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband John H. Johnson Sr. three sons; William T Johnson, Floyd D. Johnson Sr.,Terry L. Johnson and one daughter Mickey Lynn Johnson-Scott.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday January 11 ^th from 10-11 am at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home 50 North Hillsborough Ave. Arcadia, FL where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Oakridge Cemetery Online condolences may be made at pongerkaysgrady.com
