Mr. John Thomas Walters of Arcadia, Florida passed away on October 13, 2022. John was born on November 17, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri. He had lived in this area for seventy-seven years.

He had been employed as a painter at G. Pierce Wood Memorial Hospital serving for forty-two years at his retirement.

He was a member of the First Christian Church in Arcadia and was a very caring individual as well as being a great jokester. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping and spending quality time with his family and his furry companions (his dogs).

He is survived by his children, Carol A. Candy (Tim) Francis of Lake Placid, Florida and John T. Walters Jr. of Arcadia, Florida.  Also, his sister Carol Sue (Paul) Palmer, and brother-in-law Ray Peterson, and Thomas (Sandra) Peterson and Patricia (Sonny) Raulerson. There are also his beloved grandchildren, Rachael Francis, Tim Francis, Jr., Aaron (Olivia) Francis, Rebekah Francis, Noah (Acacia) Francis and Morgan Walters (Dillon). There are also, four great grandchildren as well as several loved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen P. Walters and his parents, John and Francis Walters.

There will be a Celebration of Life for John on November 12, 2022, at 11:00AM in the Fellowship Hall of the First Christian Church at 34 El Verano Avenue, Arcadia, Florida.
