John Carl Daughtrey, 84, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025, in Port Charlotte, Florida.  He was born in Arcadia, Florida on July 1, 1941, to the late John A. and Shirley Masters Daughtrey. Mr. John loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren, also he loved hunt, fish and be outdoors. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

He is survived by his children: Mike Daughtrey (Lynn), Tina Zahn (William), Tammy Daughtrey, Sisters: Patty Teague and Pam Jones, Grandchildren: Michael Daughtrey, Erica Daughtrey, Brooke Dodd, Lauren Longnecker, Daniel Stewart lll, John Newman Jr. and Ty Newman and several Great-Grandchildren among extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Nina Daughtrey.

A visitation will be held prior to the services starting at 12:00 pm. Services will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home Chapel in Arcadia, FL. Interment will follow immediately to Ft. Ogden Cemetery.
