Memories of Joe Frank Powell, Jr. Joe was born into this life on August 25, 1973 and answered the Lord s call on July 29, 2011. He was born in Arcadia, FL to Virginia Bennett and Joe Frank Powell. Joe is a member at New Hope Baptist Church. He graduated from nursing school and was a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). He received his diploma for completion of Bible studies in the New Testament, having successfully passed the required examination in all twenty seven books with an A average. He was in training to become a Deacon at New Hope Baptist Church. He was devoted to his family. He was a caring person. He had a way of making people smile. He was always happy. Joe loved to fish. He leaves to mourn his passing, his mother Virginia Bennett, Arcadia, FL and his father,Joe Frank Powell , Ft. Lauderdale, FL, his fianc e Shahamain Washington, maternal grandmother Annie Kirkland, Arcadia, FL, paternal grandmother Inez Mack, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. paternal grandfather Pumpkin Mack, Arcadia, FL., four children, Joe Powell, III, Joe Mari Powell, and De Janan, Port Charlotte, FL, and Jorde Powell, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, five brothers, Rodriguez McDaniel, Kim McDaniel both of Arcadia, FL, Joe L. Felder and Rosheed of Ft. Lauderdale, FL Casanario, Newark, NJ, four sisters, Taliyah Feldon, Micaela Feldon of Ft. Lauderdale, Jay Powell, and Jasmine Powel, Newark, NJ., three aunts, Genneil and Fletch Youngblood, Arcadia, FL, Shineta Johnson, Ft. Lauderdale, Debra and Harry Hollman, Arcadia, FL., three uncles, Keith Johnson, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Leroy McDaniel, Arcadia, FL, Jessie Mack, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and a host of cousins and nephews, nieces, and friends. Visitation will be conducted from 12:00Noon until 2:00PM Friday, August 5, 2011 at St. Johns Missionary Baptist, Arcadia, FL. Funeral Services will be at 2:00PM at the church with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
