Joan Autry Terrell passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at the Good Shepherd Hospice in Sebring, Florida.

She was born on August 29, 1934 in Wilmington, North Carolina to the late Herbert Earl and Montry Opal Autry.

She and her family moved to Florida when she was very young.

Joan graduated from Hardee High School and she was very active in sports with Basketball being her favorite.

She enjoyed working in her yard. She loved flowers and was the owner of A-Bow-K Florist. Joan also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her beloved twin sister, Janie.

Mrs. Terrell was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Edward Terrell.

She is survived by two sons, Hoyt Edward Terrell Jr. (Teresa) of Wauchula, Richard Earl Terrell (Laurie) of Grove Hill, Alabama and one daughter Linda Terrell Oldham (Tim) of Wauchula, Florida. She is also survived by five grandchildren: John Terrell, Amanda Carrera, Callie Duffle, Cassie Pugh, and Josh Oldham. There are also nine great grandchildren: Annalise Terrell, Victor Carrera, Madalyn Carrera, Everly Duffle, Sadie Duffle, Sawyer Duffle, Luke Oldham, Noah Oldham and Camden Oldham. Also, her beloved twin sister, Janie Kohr and special niece Montry Thompson and husband Spencer as well as several Great nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Monday, June 5, 2023, from 10:00am until 11:00am at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Homes, 205 N. 9th Ave., Wauchula FL.

Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00am at the chapel with Rev. Chris Bishop officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Wauchula.
