Jimmie D. Sullivan, age 60, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2009 in Port Charlotte, Fl. He was born November 18, 1948 in Arcadia and was a lifetime resident. Jimmie was of the Baptist faith and a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Arcadia. Jimmie was a loving, kind father, grandfather and brother, and will be missed dearly by his family and friends. He was a member of Sons of Am Vets and FOE Eagles, Arcadia. When Jimmie had time for relaxation he enjoyed fishing and listening to country music. He is survived by one son, Daniel J. (Kelly) Sullivan of St. Augustine, Fl., one brother, Oren L. Revels of Arcadia, Fl., three sisters, Margaret L. (Ken) Crider of Blairsville, GA, Colleen (David) Donaldson, Arcadia, FL. and Faye Sullivan Eller of Port Charlotte, Fl. Three grandchildren, Stephen, Daniel and Megan Sullivan, numerous nieces and nephews. Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents Ellis C. & Doris L.Sullivan. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Richard Englert of the 1st Baptist Church of Arcadia. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Arcadia.
