Jerry Raymond Lewis, age 83 passed away on July 13, 2024 in Arcadia, FL. He was born on July 27, 1940 in Sarasota, FL. to the late William E. and Margaret Knight Lewis. Jerry was a resident of our community for the past 45 years. He was raised in Sarasota and his parents and grandparents, and great grandparents were raised in Florida, Jerry is a forth generation Floridian.

Jerry spent his life's work in the plumbing industry and was owner operator of Alert Plumbing Services in Arcadia. He was a member of the Plumbers Union 111, working in Saudi Arabia, Alaskan Pipeline, 3 Nuke Power Plants and in the Caribbean. He was an awesome outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, camping with his family and friends.

His is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sandy Smith Lewis of Arcadia, one son Karl J. Lewis of Arcadia and two siblings Gloria Shirley and Calvin Lewis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Kim L Lewis Sandoval, siblings Rev. Bill Lewis, Jenny Mizell, Clara Dean, Peggy Markavitch, Mary Thaxton, Eenie Hedgepeth and Jacky Stubbins

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 20th at 2:00pm at Pine Level United Methodist Church, Arcadia with Pastor Matt Roberts officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Tunnel to Towers or Wounded Warriors.
