Jerry Gordon Hill, age 85, of Arcadia, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on October 30, 2025. Born on August 31, 1940, in Arcadia, he spent his entire life in the town he loved and served so faithfully.

He was the beloved husband of Christine Hill. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with faith, family, and community. A lifelong entrepreneur and community leader, Jerry wore many hats throughout his life - barber, business owner, county commissioner, and member of the National Guard. As a barber for more than 50 years, he was known for giving countless Arcadia residents their very first haircut. His barbershop was more than a place for a trim - it was where stories were told, laughter was shared, and friendships were made.

Jerry was a man of deep faith and unwavering devotion to his family. He was a loving husband, father, and "Papa" whose love knew no limits. He will be remembered for his kindness, his storytelling, and the way he made everyone feel welcome in his presence.\

He was preceded in death by his precious daughter, Sherrie Turner; his parents, Lester and Neresia Hill; siblings Lester Hill, Nelette Hill, Marolyn Brown, and Carolyn Rachel.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Hill; son, Scott Hill; son-in-law, Mac Turner; and bonus daughter/granddaughter, Jamie (Scott) Adkins, and sister Virginia Billings, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was a proud grandfather to Bailey (Shelby) Turner and Katie (Landon) Albritton, and a cherished great-grandfather to Logan, Aiden, Cohen, Tucker, Jeriann Adkins, and Blair Turner.

Jerry's life was a testament to faith, love, and hard work, and his legacy will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ponger-Kays Grady Funeral Home, 50N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia, FL.

Funeral services will be held at Arcadia Church of the Nazarene, where he was a lifelong member, on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., Immediate burial following the service at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
