Mrs. Jennie Mae Martin, age 91, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022. Jennie was born on February 16, 1931, in Gainesville, Georgia. She was a graduate of Braselton High School in Hall County Georgia.

Jennie moved to Florida later in life with her husband and remained a resident of the area for over 50 years. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was a Round Dance instructor, Line Dance instructor, and a Square dancer. She was also Owner and Broker at Martin Realty and a Cattle Ranch owner. She was a long-time active member of this community and served as the former president of the Garden Club as well as the Women's Club.

Her hobbies included traveling, canning, cooking, baking, crocheting, and quilting.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She touched many lives with her kindness and abilities and will be greatly missed.

Jennie is survived by two children James T. (Cheryl) Stewart of Arcadia, Florida, and Richard J. (Donna) Stewart of Houston, Texas.  Her stepchildren are Tina (Ken) Myers, Tim L. Martin, William (Colleen) Martin and Franklin Martin. She has eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Everett L. Martin, her parents James O. Waters and Lilly Lancaster Waters, daughter Charlene Stewart Martin and her granddaughter Trisha Butler.

There will be a graveside service at 10:00AM on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Joshua Creek Cemetery. Pastor Ellis Cross will be officiating.
