James D. Jim Sikes 70 of Arcadia passed away February 10, 2008. He was born October 10, 1937 in Beaumont TX, and moved to Arcadia as a small child. He and his wife operated Sikes Group Home for 16-17 years for both men and women; Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his beloved wife Gennive Ginny Sikes; one son Roger Dale (Sandy) Sikes of Sacramento, CA; two daughters Gloria (Eldon) Salsman of Henrietta, OK, Peggy (Kevin) Harvard of Arcadia, FL; two brothers Jack Sikes of Arcadia, Gene Sikes of Warner OK; four sisters, Pat Hamilton of NC, Georgia Edwards of Lake Placid, FL, Regina Sikes of CA, Midge Sikes of CA. He was preceded in death by one sister Diane Sikes. Services will be 11AM Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home 50 N Hillsborough Ave, in Arcadia.
