James (Crick) Carter Jr. was born to the late James and Elsie Carter on February 19, 1950.  He passed away on February 24, 2023. He attended school in DeSoto County and graduated from DeSoto County High School.

James joined the US Army in 1970 and served four years in Vietnam. He was a laborer in the Construction Industry.

He is survived by his devoted sister, Doris Carter Epps of Arcadia, Florida one brother, Ronald (Rose Mary) Carter. Also, he had five daughters, Lisa of Arcadia, Michele and Faye of Orlando, Dorothy of Naples, and Tonya of Gainesville, Florida. There are five grandchildren and a host of cousins and nephews that will miss his presence.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Robert Carter and one son Alan.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 11:00AM, at Elizabeth Baptist Church 100 S Orange Ave, Arcadia FL. Pastor Louis Anderson, Jr. is officiating.
