Sgt. James Harold Alley, age 22, passed away April 6, 1972 in Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam. He was born September 18, 1949 in Dothan, AL. James lived in Plantation, FL. from the age of two until leaving to serve our Country in the United States Air Force. James was of the Baptist faith. James, before entering the service loved to work on cars with his families business, Alley Transmission, Inc. He also enjoyed fishing of any kind. His family and friends will remember him in there hearts forever as a wonderful person with a very positive attitude. James held the rank of Sergeant and was a combat photographer in the US Air Force. He is survived by his mother; Syble M. Hanners Alley of Arcadia, FL.; one brother Timothy (Lindsay) Alley of Arcadia, FL and June (Jeff) Whidden of Shreveport, LA.; nieces; Christine Williams, Lindsey Whidden and Ashton Whidden; nephews Brant Alley, Trenton Alley and Michael Williams. He was preceded in death by his father Herald C. Alley. Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 2:00PM at Oak Ridge Cemetery with full military honors by the United States Air Force, Mac Dill and Rev. Rick Hill of Mt.
