Jacqueline Carol Thompson, age 83 passed away Wednesday morning, April 26, 2023, in Arcadia, Florida. She was born May 18, 1939, in Roches ter, New York to the late Gennaro Thomas Stark and Jeannette Helen Maule Stark . She has lived in Arcadia for 50 years; she is a retired schoolteacher. She attended the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints; she also was a Sunday school teacher. Jacqueline al so volunteered for adult literacy in Desoto County. She enjoyed teaching, music, baseball, quilting, antiques, sewing, animals and children.

Jacqueline will be remembered as a mother, teacher, friend and mentor.

She is survived by her husband Hal Thompson, children Jacklyne McDonald of Portland Oregon , Hal A. Thompson of Madison, Florida, Sherry (Clancey) Hernandez Morel of Bradenton, Florida, and Tammy Beauchamp of Arcadia, Florida, sister Barbara Lee Rushing , 12 grandchildren Christopher Davis, Eryn Flynn, Devon Davenport, Katie Thompson, Nicole Clancey, James Clancey, Lisa Enix, Thomas Clancey , Taylor Librandi, Nathan Hensley, Dustin Hensley, and Alexandria Beauchamp, and 14 g reat grandchildren Collin Flynn, Jayson Mitchell, Cody Clancey, Douglas Defreitas, Gabrie l Defreitas, Daniel Defreitas, Thomas Clancey, Kaiya Clancey, Chase Clancey, Stuart Cl ancey, Maddison Enix, Riley Enix, Mason Clancey and Brooks Clancey. Two nieces and one nephew.

She is preceded in death by her late parents.

Visitation is Saturday April 29, 2023, from 4:00-5:00pm at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home in Arcadia, Florida. Services will be at 5:00 pm at Ponger-Kays-Grady Chapel , with Bishop Andrew Martin Officiatin g. Interment will be Monday, May 1, 2023, at Palm Beach Memorial Park w ith Ronal d Hostelter officiating .
