Jacqueline
Condo
August 1, 1945 – December 21, 2023
Jacqueline "Jacki" D. Condo of Arcadia, Florida, left this earth for Heaven to meet her Savior and be reunited with her beloved Matt on December 21, 2023, in Pt. Charlotte, Florida. Jacki was born to Jack Duncan and Elouise Roan on August 1, 1945, in Arcadia, Florida.
Jacki grew up in Arcadia, attending school and becoming very active through the years in an assortment of activities. During her high school years, Jacki was a Drum Majorette, a member of the Sub Debs, played powder puff football and went on to become Miss DeSoto County.
In the late 1950's, as a result of a move that God arranged, she met the love of her life, Matt Condo. They were married in 1966 and made a wonderful life together for 50 years until Matt's passing in 2016. Jacki moved forward in life with the anticipation of their reunion in Heaven.
Jacki was always present for her grandchildren's football or baseball games, rodeo events, and any other activities that her family took part in.
She loved being in the barn, running barrels, in her younger days, and being on the water where she enjoyed skiing and fishing.
She was unique in her approach to everyday life, the mucking of stalls was more appealing than housework, the air conditioning was not as appealing as the fresh outdoor air-in a nutshell, she was a country girl. She could dress up with the best yet hold her own with livestock.
In the last few years, Jacki blossomed in her relationship with the Lord, the introvert that she had been (known to many) gave way to an outgoing worker for the Lord. She hugged the homeless, adopted the needy and cried with the hurting. She will be missed deeply by her family and all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Matt, father and mother Jack and Eloise and various family and friends.
She is survived by her only child, Sorrel (Wayne) Pickle of Arcadia, brothers, Bushrod (Pam) Duncan of Arcadia, Floyd Purvis of Arcadia and sisters Debbie (Doyle) Carlton of Wauchula, Nancy Redding of Lake Placid and Joyce Blackmon of Arcadia, and her 2 grandchildren, Pacyn and Paysleigh Pickle of Arcadia.
There will be a Memorial Service on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 10:00AM at the Hillsborough Baptist Church with Pastor Ellis Cross officiating. The church is located at 253 N. Hillsborough Avenue, Arcadia, Florida 34266.
