Irma C. Barragan, age 48, passed away on April 27, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 20, 1973, in Lagunillas, Mexico to Consuelo Medina Cisneros and the late Claudio Cisneros. Irma lived in Arcadia for the past 23 years moving from New York prior to Mexico. She was of the Catholic faith and a member of St Paul's Catholic Church in Arcadia.

Irma was diagnosed with cancer in September 2017 and from the beginning, she showed us all what a "true fighter" she truly was. She never complained of pain or discomfort. Cancer gave her something that she was able to take with her, and that was her faith. She was deeply involved in serving her church and the Lord. Irma was a special person, her family will remember her as the best wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and cousin. Irma worked as a teacher's aide in DeSoto County Schools and enjoyed doing cross-stitch, Zumba and shopping.

She is survived by her husband Jorge E. Barragan of Arcadia, FL; three children daughter Zuleyma Barragan, sons Jorge Barragan and Adrain Barragan all of Arcadia; mother Consuelo Cisneros, brothers Ziggi Cisneros, Gustavo Cisneros, and Fidel Cisneros; 12 nieces and nephews. Irma was preceded in death by her father Claudio Cisneros, sister Yolanda Cisneros and brother Israel Cisneros.

A visitation of family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a Rosary to be held at 7:00 pm at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Homes, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be on Friday, April 30, 2021, at 1:00 pm at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 1208 E. Oak Street, Arcadia. Burial will follow at Joshua Creek Cemetery, Arcadia
