Ida Mae Bowen Kipp, age 95, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family, Friday morning, June 9, 2023. She was born January 26, 1928, in Eagle Lake, Florida. Ida Mae was the daughter of C.R. and Cora Lee Bowen. She was a wonderful wife, mother, Nana, sister and friend to everyone that she came in contact with.

Ida Mae resided in Babson Park until her family moved to Gardner, Florida where she resided until she went to her heavenly home. She was a farmer's wife in her early married years and spent many hours working in the fields and packing house. She was also a preacher's wife and fulfilled that role with compassion and love.

She was preceded in death by her parents C.R. and Cora Lee Bowen, her husband, Reverend Emil A. Kipp, her sisters, Helen Keller and Laverne A. Keating.

Ida Mae is survived by her sister, Linda (Hollis) Albritton, her brother Glen (Freida) Bowen, her son Gary Kipp and daughter Chrissie Wiggins, four grandchildren Krystle (Garit) Cooper, Rhett (Jessica) Wiggins, Emily (Kenny) Prescott, Rachel (Trevor) Hinote and eight great grandchildren Lindsay and Kipp Cooper, Brit and Leni Wiggins, Gavin and Brody Prescott, Harper Barnes and Levee Kate Hinote and many nieces and nephews.

Ida Mae's viewing will be Tuesday, June 13, 2023, from 6:00pm -to 8:00pm at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home in Wauchula, Florida.

Services will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 10:00 am at Upper Room Church of God in Brownsville, Florida. Burial to follow at Gardner Cemetery 8639 US-17S Zolfo Springs 33890
