Hildred Marie Long age 98 passed away on October 13, 2022. She was born in Geneva, Alabama on October 4, 1924, to John W. and Ruth Brown Garrett.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and made time with her family very special. Hildred liked to sew, go fishing with her husband James, and enjoyed cooking for her family.

She is survived by her grandson Ron Keene and his wife Susan; great-granddaughters Kelly Terry and her husband Josh, and Lynsey Keene; and two great-great-granddaughters.

She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, James E. Long, her children; son Charles Long; daughter Elizabeth Keene; son-in-law Kenneth Keene. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Damon Garrett, John Emory Garrett, and Ruth Evelyn Garrett.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tidewell Hospice.
