Hilda June Layport, 82, of Arcadia, Florida passed away peacefully on October 13, 2026. Born on November 2, 1943 in Sebring, Florida to the late George and Martha McCormack Lanier. She loved fishing, hog hunting, and spending time doing word searches. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren, who brought so much joy and happiness to her life. She was a loving, caring, and compassionate woman who had so much love to give to those around her. Her kind heart, warm spirit, and the love she shared with her family will forever be remembered and treasured by all who knew her.

She survived by her children: Charles (Diane) Layport, David Layport, Richard (Tina) Layport, James Layport, and Lois Valentino; Nieces: Sherri Iglesias, and Shirley Lanier, Nineteen Grandchildren, and Thirty-Eight Great-Grandchildren, and Three great-great grandchildren, along with many extended family member and friends.

Ms. Hilda preceded in death by her husband: George “Boog” Layport; Brothers: Miles Lanier, and Eugene Lanier; Sister: Linda Garrett; and Grandson: Daniel Layport.
